Joyce Dahmer was born on October 26, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Lionel and Joyce Dahmer.

Joyce had two sisters, Kimberly and Pat. Joyce attended Marquette University, where she earned a degree in communications. After university, she moved to West Virginia to begin her career as a journalist.

However, Joyce’s true passion lay elsewhere. In 1978, she married fellow journalist Alton Sterling, with whom she had two children. The couple divorced in 1983.

Joyce Dahmer was born on February 2, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio USA to parents Lionel and Joyce.

The Dahmer family lived a comfortable life until Joyce’s father passed away when she was just 8 years old. Joyce was then raised by her mother who struggled with mental illness.

As a result, Joyce grew up largely isolated from other children and developed a strong personality that would later be displayed in her crimes.

In 1970, at the age of 18, Joyce married Fredrick Dahmer who already had two sons from a previous relationship: Jeffrey Dahmer, and David Dahmer. On November 28, 1994, Jeffrey Dahmer was beaten to death by Christopher Scarver, a fellow inmate at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin.

The couple soon had a daughter named Kary. Joyce quickly became pregnant again and gave birth to their third child, Jesse, in 1973. At this time, Joyce’s mother also passed away which left the Dahmers struggling financially.

In 1978, after enduring years of domestic abuse at the hands of her husband, Joyce finally managed to escape and filed for divorce.

Joyce Dahmer was born on November 10, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of Joyce Meredith (née Buccellato) and Frank Edward Dahmer.

Joyce’s mother was a psychiatric nurse, and her father worked for a plastics company. Joyce had two brothers: David and Jerry. When Joyce was five years old, her family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida.

Joyce attended Stranahan High School in West Palm Beach. There, she became friends with Jennifer Harbison, who would later become her husband and the father of her two children. After high school,

Dahmer studied nursing at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. While there, she met Stephen Hicks.

They married on December 10, 1978, and had two children: Brandon and Jessica.

Dahmer started working as a psychiatric nurse in 1984 at the Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

In 1992, she left nursing to become a stay-at-home mom when her husband became disabled from an autoimmune disease.

However, after six years of being home with their children full-time, Dahmer returned to nursing in 1998 when her youngest child began school full-time.
