Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr, more popularly known by his stage name Tee Grizzley was born March 23, 1994 and raised by his grandmother after both of his parents went in and out of jail.

Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr is well known for his singles such as First Day Out, Colors and From the D to A as well as being popular on YouTube with earnings generated from streaming game subscriptions and brand endorsements.

He grew up on the west side of Detroit, experiencing first-hand what young black men face daily: struggling for money, grieving the death of loved ones and fighting with neighbors in his neighborhood. Instead of joining a gang however, he chose rapping instead – eventually founding All-Star Ball Hard with friends to record music together online and post recordings online.

After the release of his 2017 mixtape My Moment, which amassed millions of views on YouTube, he signed with 300 Entertainment and issued more singles as well as mixtapes Half Tee Half Beast and Chapters of the Trenches.

Arrested for armed robbery

Grizzley started his musical journey as part of Detroit group Allstars BallHard and quickly rose to fame with mixtapes and singles such as “First Day Out,” “Colors,” and “From the D to A.” Additionally, his debut album Activated debuted at number 10 on Billboard 200 charts in 2018.

He’s made no time for reflection since leaving prison, releasing Chapters of the Trenches mixtape and taking it straight to the charts. But his personal life hasn’t been without its drama – according to reports by TMZ, burglars broke into his home last week and made off with over $1 Million worth of jewelry and cash!

Grizzley shared his experience in an interview with Complex wherein he revealed how he used his time behind bars to educate himself about law and apply it towards fighting his case in Michigan. By reading law books he learned of ways a sledgehammer should not be considered an armed weapon in relation to robbery charges against him.

Released from prison

After serving several years behind bars, rapper Tee Grizzley has finally been freed. Vowing to make up for past mistakes, Tee has since been hard at work creating new music and performing appearances across the country while spending quality time with his family; most recently sharing an Instagram post of him and his brother decked out in jewelry and luxury clothing.

Grizzley credits his musical success as helping him through his prison experience. While in prison, he composed “First Day Out”, which became an instant viral hit. Since then he’s collaborated with Lil Durk and YNW Melly among others.

Though Grizzley was banned from Michigan State University, he says he’ll still support their Wolverines. He even posted a photo with Juwan Howard as their new coach! Additionally, he announced his latest album “Activated”, featuring guest appearances by Meek Mill and other artists.
