TREKKING ROUTES TO KHEERGANGA

Two routes lead from Barshaini to Kheerganga Trek. Barshaini, a small village, has a taxi stand and basic accommodation options. 1)Go to Kalga from the bridge at Barshaini. This route is quite long but easy and suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers.

2) The second route passes through Nakthan village. You have to take left at the bridge at Barshaini. It’s shorter and more scenic, but it’s also quite difficult.

The Kheerganga trek route can be moderate, but it is not recommended for those with heart problems. You can camp and other people if you start your trek at Barshani before noon.

The generators used by establishments make it difficult to live and get good food.

The Kasol and Kheerganga treks are so popular because they can be done almost all year. Kheerganga can be reached throughout the year with the exception of a few weeks in the peak winter season. The best months to trek are April/May and October/September.

The government has made it clear that the Kheerganga track is not operational. If the weather is extremely bad, it can be done at night.
